Gastrointestinal Surgery at Parnassus

UCSF Gastrointestinal Surgery at Parnassus cares for patients with diseases of the gastrointestinal (GI) tract. This includes cancers and benign conditions of the esophagus, liver, spleen, bile ducts, pancreas, stomach and gallbladder. UCSF performs large numbers of GI surgeries with excellent outcomes for patients. Most surgeries are performed using minimally invasive techniques that UCSF helped pioneer.

Individualized treatment is a hallmark of the program. Patients receive state-of-the-art care from a team of experts that includes a gastrointestinal surgeon collaborating with other specialists, such as gastroenterologists and thoracic surgeons.
